Techofest - Shankar Mahadevan show!

What do i say? This show was so good, it exceeded expectations of an usual crowd-puller in many forms. Compare it with the Saarang, what IIT told Chennai had done justice to Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, hmm.. a lil bit of doubt on that one, Anna Univ had twice what Saarang wud ve imagined having, and to suit the public, Rs.50 tickets were on the roll. Worth the money? None wud question this. Shankar himself was surprised @ d show, cud very well been seen with the way he swung into raaga-alabana and introducing more and more singers on-stage. Switching between tamil n hindi songs, calling tamil songs as 'not so famous', a pun.. even at the beginning, all smiles. On the whole, with due respect to all the other instrumentalists on stage, the show was a complete one.. did transcend all forms of public.
Cheers,
Subra

Sir Sachin?

Sachin Tendulakar, himself would have been taken aback, though being modest, on hearing news that his name was amongst the one's that was suggested for the honorary 'Sir' title, from the British Prime Minister. Mark himself on levels of achievement, he's rightly the 'little master' or er.. undoubtedly the 'mastero' :)
For the quote onto happenings :
The Guardian quotes Brown as suggesting honorary awards so "the British nation can salute their achievements in one of our national sports."

In a days work

A woman gets on a bus with her baby. The bus driver says: “That's the ugliest baby that I've ever seen. Ugh!” The woman goes to the rear of the bus and sits down, fuming. She says to a man next to her: “The driver just insulted me!
The man says: “You go right up there and tell him off – go ahead, I'll hold your monkey for you.”

Funnny enof :)
